Allergy & Dietary Concerns

All Delaware State University dining facilities have shared kitchens where allergens such as nuts, dairy, soy, wheat/gluten, fish, shellfish, and eggs are used. While every care is taken, the University cannot guarantee a cross-contamination-free environment. Students with severe food allergies as well as those with other disabilities or medical conditions that require a limited diet are strongly encouraged to contact the Center for Disability Resources (CDR) to request an accommodation. Students can begin this request process by visiting the Student Resources page of the CDR website or by contacting the office by phone at 302-857-7042 or via email at cdr@desu.edu.

Office of Student Accessibility Services

Our onsite general manager and chef can assist you with the majority of dietary restrictions for food allergies, celiac disease, and other medical conditions. If you have a food allergy, medical condition, or nutritional concern, contact our Campus Dietitian, Dawn McMillian so she can ensure that you are receiving the support you need when dining with us on campus. You can also book a session with Dawn so she can answer any questions you have, helping you become more comfortable in your new dining environment!
